Marketing Intern

Summary

The Marketing Intern will support all marketing functions under supervision of the Marketing Coordinator. This includes assisting with business development ventures, public relations, event planning, social media posts, dispersing promotion items, and other duties as assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supports online marketing efforts including social media, website, and advertising
  • Assists in development and production of promotion items, events, newsletters, advertising, presentations, and proposals
  • Helps plan and execute internal and external events
  • Develops and maintains client mailing lists
  • Tracks marketing activity and expenses
  • Produces monthly summary of marketing/business development activity
  • Aids with miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned

 Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Possess a professional drive with a desire to learn
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of the internet and social media marketing best practices
  • Organizational skills and keen attention to detail a must

Education and/or Experience

Junior or senior level college student working towards a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university majoring in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or another related field.

Computer Skills                                            

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in use of computers and have knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Canva preferred.
