Determines the overall strategy for integrated marketing campaigns designed to drive awareness and participation in Parks & Recreation’s multi-faceted products, programs, and facilities. Directly supervises full time, part time, contractual, and volunteer staff. Responsibility for web and email strategy and design, media buying, ad planning, graphic and digital design, video editing, social media, public relations, and strategic analysis. Develops and executes all marketing initiatives and campaigns, works collaboratively with other units, and provides insight and recommendations regarding advertising, information systems, pricing strategy and optimizing revenue. Units include basicREC Before and After School Programs and Camps, Sports & Athletics, Aquatics, Special Events, Community Centers, and Parks Division. Performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Director or his/her designee.
