Description:
Betches Media is looking for a Marketing Intern who is eager to learn about brand marketing at a media company including podcast, newsletter, e-commerce and experiential marketing. This is not your typical "grab me a cup of coffee" kind of internship; this is an interactive & collaborative work environment, where creativity leads to opportunities to gain hands-on career experience. Our program gives each intern the chance to explore and develop their interests through mentorship, career training, professional development, workshops, collaborative projects and more. We strive to create an innovative, diverse and emerging workforce.
This internship is available for the Spring 2023 semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 15 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
Learning Objectives & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Marketing department with marketing tasks to learn about the key functions of brand marketing at a new age media company
- Assist team with podcast episode topics, guest/talent ideation & booking and spearhead competitive research on external podcast networks
- Assist with planning and securing in-person event details ranging from in-office happy hours with influencers to large-scale tentpole events
- Source and secure styling items for Shop Betches and participate in in-office photo shoots when necessary
- Assist with curation of affiliate marketing products featured in newsletters
- Assist with data analysis of emails and newsletters
- Assist with other timely marketing needs including but not limited to PR/influencer mailings, gifing & giveaways, and other in-office needs
Qualifications:
- Must be current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited college or university
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university for the duration of the internship
- Must be based in or near New York, able to work out of our Manhattan office from time to time
- Must be a self-starter, able to work without constant supervision
- Strong attention to detail and creative thinker
- Previous marketing & styling experience a plus
- Interest in marketing, communications, events, e-commerce and PR a plus
