Marketing Summer Intern

Overview 

The Express Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid program that offers undergraduate Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to various aspects of a retail fashion company. The Summer Intern class will include students interested in hands-on experience in an area of interest and exposure to cross-functional collaboration as well as gaining valuable professional development.

The 2023 program runs from June 5th to August 11th, and positions will be available in our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.

Responsibilities  
  • Support the Brand Strategy Marketing team to launch integrated marketing initiatives that support brand objectives 
  • Develop understanding of the execution of annual and seasonal marketing strategies, to bring brand stories to life in compelling ways through omni-channel campaign activations Support EXPRESS's Dream Big Project and the Partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America 
  • Assist the team in tracking weekly and monthly donation and volunteer hour goals, attend BBBS meetings and provide support on all internal related events and volunteer opportunities 
  • Support the execution of branded events both physically and virtually, including EXPRESS Edit store openings, Express Services (e.g., private styling), Brand Building OOH activations, and the EXPRESS Insider program 
  • Build and Manage customer facing event communications through the SplashThat! Platform 
  • Assist in collecting and organizing hindsights for brand projects 
  • Compile research around industry trends across all physical and digital channels relating to events, brand campaigns and philanthropy (e.g.,in-store activations, customer mindset moments, TikTok trends)

Requirements 
  • Availability to work full time (40 hours per week) 
  • Preferred GPA at or above 3.2
