Vortex is looking for an Experience & Marketing Manager to serve as the Vortex Edge brand champion, building the marketing strategy and creating excitement around the Vortex Edge experience. Vortex Edge is our industry leading firearms training center for shooters of every discipline, interest, and skill level. We are seeking a creative, ambitious, and well-rounded individual to collaborate with key partners to develop marketing campaigns and strategies, lead a team of instructors, and develop a digital content roadmap to bring our training experience online. The ideal candidate will leverage their creative and entrepreneurial nature with strong organizational and project management skills to help our customer focused organization develop the most accessible, educational, and exciting range and training experience in the industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage VTX Edge brand strategy, developing custom, integrated marketing plans, partnering closely with marketing leads to incorporate campaigns into their strategies and tactics (including content, web, social media, PR, advertising, etc.).
- Lead and collaborate on the digital training and content roadmap, extending the Vortex Edge experience online to reach new customers in new places.
- Design and develop customer programs and events that maximize experiences, loyalty, and retention across all customer touchpoints by innovating solutions based upon current customer research, consumer feedback, market trends and other activity.
- Support the creation and execution of training and instruction roadmaps, assessing priorities and trade-offs between customer experience, relevance, and operational support load.
- Collaborate with Content Marketing team on VTX Edge social media and podcast, ensuring consistent messaging and feedback loop.
- Lead the oversight of a high performing range instructor team while also collaborating with other key teams, including, Sales, Customer Care, IT, Finance, and New Product Development to ensure an exceptional experience for our customers and team members.
- Oversee facility and system operations, working with outside vendors and range instructors to provide range support. Develop and implement procedures and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of facility.
- Manage external customer groups’ range use and training (outside of classroom work) to ensure a consistent and memorable experience for end users, Military and Law Enforcement agencies, and our dealers.
- Manage annual operational needs, including budget and roadmap for facility use and curriculum/training opportunities.
- Collaborate with Creative Director and work with creative team on concept development including branding, design, and other ideas.
- Organize and collaborate with Apparel Product Marketing Manager on the production of branded items such as apparel and merchandise.
